Yes, once material, size and use are roughly clear. For natural stone, samples are very useful orientation, but never a promise of identical color, veining or slab image: the final piece can visibly differ because it is a natural material.

Natural stone comes from slabs or blocks; every piece has its own color, veining and depth. Porcelain stoneware is ceramic, so it is easier to plan consistently, easy to care for and more repeatable within a series. With natural stone, care, acid sensitivity, finish, edge and cuts need closer coordination.
